Booking an appointment
How do I book my appointment?
You can make an appointment by phone, email, or book online. The easiest way to secure future appointments is to book after your completed service before leaving the salon.
Arrival
Where do I park?
The driveway of 55 Hillcrest Drive is dedicated Salon parking. Look for the large “P” on the right hand side of the driveway. There is also free parking on the street, if needed.
Can I walk right in?
Please knock on the door when you arrive, and I will let you in, as the door will be locked. If you arrive early, feel free to wait in the chairs provided outside in the warmer weather, or in your car in the winter weather.
What can I bring into the Salon with me?
You are now able to bring your personal belongings into the Salon with you. Remember to have your calendar for booking your next appointment. If you are paying by phone, I will provide a disinfectant wipe for you to clean your device.
Payment
What kind of payments to you take?
Cash, debit card, cheque, e-transfer, and Chez Allison gift certificates are all accepted.
Masks
Do I need to bring my own mask?
You have two choices:
- You may wear your own freshly laundered 3 ply cloth or disposable mask that has NOT been worn on any errands before coming to the Salon.
- I am happy to provide 3 ply disposable or cloth masks in sizes kids, S, M, L, XL, or a polypropylene insert at no charge.
Services
What services do you provide?
Chez Allison provides services for all genders and ages. This includes cuts, colour, highlights, blow dry/sets, up-dos, hair and scalp treatments, smoothing treatments and eyebrow tinting.
Can I purchase products on your site?
Yes! You can chose from a full range of hair, body and skin care products along with styling tools and more.
COVID Protocol
What changes do you implement with Ontario's new colour scheme for workplace safety measures?
Since reopening the salon in June 2020, regardless of threat level, all Chez Allison’s practices meet Ontario’s requirements for Level Red (which is Public Health’s highest level of Control).
Measures include contact tracing information, a safety plan, pre-screening questionnaire, and prohibiting removal of masks for face services such as beard trims.
If Guelph enters Level Red, Chez Allison will add the extra precaution of temperature checks. For more details, see my entire COVID Protocols.
Will you be providing shampooing and blow drying in the Salon in the winter?
I am now offering both shampooing and blow dry services for guests, and feel safe with this decision thanks to two HEPA filters in the Salon.
Other options are the hood drier, or receiving a dry haircut, where you come with clean dry hair.
How much time do leave between clients for cleaning and disinfection?
I am allowing a 15 minutes between appointments to clean and disinfect all tools, chairs, washroom and touch points.
How will you determine a flattering cut for my face when I am wearing a mask?
For first-time clients, Chez Allison offers virtual consultations through Skype or FaceTime prior to your first appointment.
Are you fully vaccinated?
Yes, Pfizer all 4 times.
First dose May 21, second dose July 13th, third dose Dec 25th 2021, fourth dose August 6th 2022.
